“There is an inner tension,
an inner war within ourselves. The sides are wrong and what is right. Our
flesh urges for wrong while our spirit urges for what is right. Whichever
one a person feeds the most, becomes the one strongest in the battle."
Teens Against Crime, Inc., is a not-for-profit organization that was founded by Florence Simmons to cope with current complex and volatile environment and cultural trends in South East Queens, New York.
In the beginning Teens Against Crime focused our talents on one environment that had disrupted the development of teenagers in our community and that was after school activities that are able to address such issues as substance abuse and other behavioral problems.
Through the years T.A.C (Teens Against Crime) expanded it's services and partnered with other Youth Programs to expand our services and reach more of today's youths.
There have been a host of youth who have ventured through Teens Against Crimes programs and services and more than 70% of them have moved on and become successful in their own lives as well as being successful contributors to society.
